The vivid colour blocking on the Air Jordan 1 Low "Sky J Purple" makes it stand out. This pair has a dark purple, lilac purple, and white colour scheme. The Jumpman logo has taken the place of the 'NIKE AIR' branding on the tongue, and the line's wings emblem has been relocated from the ankle tab to the lower heel.

A lighter shade of purple can be found on the Air Jordan 1 Low "Sky J Purple" ankle, which gives the shoe a complimentary contrast. All of this is supported by a pristine, ultra-comfortable Nike Air midsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Low was originally released in several colourways, mirroring the High releases and served as a casual take on the signature high-top. Apart from basketball players, there was another group who immediately took to the AJ1 Low – skateboarders. The skateboarders found that the low-top was more comfortable for tricks.
